Honestly I've been thinking a lot about how I'd like to include footnotes in my writing. Many of my favourite writers include them, after all, it'd be nice to continue on with this little tradition .) I appreciate the recommendation! Giving me another excuse to get back into the library~

The biggest component I see in people being reluctant to create their own art, to share it online, has been shame, or lately, 'cringe'. New people in the fan-sphere seem so much more ashamed of their creations than I remember people being. And due to inflation, people are less likely to buy art.

Like even getting into the artistic aspect of writing, I've been encouraging the younger people in my group to try to do their literature roleplays together instead of using like, ChatGPT. I write with other people because there's another person that can read ant talk about what we've written.

Also, I've been running around in libraries on my own SINCE I was six. This isn't just censorship, it's banning children from public spaces. Whatever happened to a childrens' section in the library?

I wanna emphasize that America is /extremely/ religious (read, Christian). Bigots come from everywhere, but Alabama is one of THE worst places in the country for religious zealotry. I remember a table in Florida going cold when I mentioned I wasn't Christian. Good thing I didn't mention I was queer.

Imagine JUST editing those scripts. It's like, 'oh yes, the periwinkle shells? I nudge the pretty sandgrains around them /just/ a touch, really brings the whole thing together.' Then I unloaded the dishwasher.
