What did Anne Bosworth (American), Nadeschda Gernet (Russian), Vera Myller (Russian), Margarete Kahn (German), Klara Löbenstein (German), & Eva Koehler (German) all have in common? They were all David Hilbert’s doctoral students at Göttingen from 1900-1912 & accomplished mathematicians. 🧵

Hilbert was one of the most influential mathematicians of his time in his own right and was the doctoral advisor and colleague at Göttingen of some of the most notable mathematicians of the 20th century.
