recently on twitter someone DMed me some polite questions about slarpg (if there'd be a sequel, etc.) and then after a week of going back and forth they sent this big angry rant about how i got the concept of paladins all wrong because i didn't do it like how DnD does it. strange experience

i'm not sure i've ever had an exchange like that where the other person was like "sorry i don't want to offend you, but i just have to yell at you about your writing for a little bit"

it'd be one thing if it was just "nerd gets mad that not all fantasy is D&D" but the fact that they were very well-behaved for a week beforehand is what elevates the whole thing
