Kicker; the most important position on the team, and yet, least paid & least respected, by fans and players alike. Everyone gets mad when kicking plays affect the outcome in any way, for good or ill. But, they can’t totally remove it and still justify calling it “football”. Frankly, it’s hilarious.

It’s not about how good (or awful it sounds), it’s about remembering it so that the initial spark survives however many thousands of attempts it takes to render it in some non-awful way. It only has to work one time 🙂

8th grade English teacher failed my writing assignment because she said I was too young for my (overbearingly cringe & pretentious) closing argument. Still mad about it. Especially in retrospect, like, if you thought that dumb sh*t was quality adult work, then you are not qualified for this gig.

100%. In the Netherlands, there are *several* expat social media groups dedicated to finding and/or attempting to make (w/ local ingredients) proper Mexican food… a years long effort that has yet to truly succeed.
