Capitalists will look at the endless metastatic growth of a cancer cell and see a business model. A person whose highest aspiration is to emulate a cancer, can't possibly look at obviously dogshit ideas and go "nope," or respect others saying no, because that's not how you get endless growth.

"Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell." Edward Abbey said that in 1977. The problem imo is the people who see sense like that rarely make it to political office whereby they can make effective change without being blocked or getting corrupted themselves along the way.
