first time painting camo. i don't dislike it but it feels a bit flat cuz i can't shade it. maybe glazes for panel shading? seems like it would desaturate the camo :( #battletech#miniaturepainting

Have you ever tried transparent paints like Speedpaint or Contrast on top of a shaded base? That way you just shade underneath and add colored camo last. Love your work btw, it's amazing stuff!

why not go full borderlands and cell shade it?

So, the purpose of real camo is to obscure, alter, or otherwise break up the lines and dimensionality of the comouflaged object. I say shade away.

It looks good as is. It's camo, and that's how camo looks. Add some weathering.
