not to mention all those reports of the cars accelerating uncommanded, but if someone had a medical emergency or was inebriated or otherwise impaired, the fact they could get to speeds that would be lethal to pedestrians in a second, and deadly to everyone around in just 2 more, completely insane.
I remember first riding in a Tesla, this was way back at a cars and coffee event when I was 16, someone was giving rides in their P100D Model S, I had never felt something accelerate like that. It was exhilarating, but thinking back, it's absolutely terrifying how much force is available
