I hate the generative image garbage era so much... I am not one of those insects that enjoys emailing people back immediately every time I get a cover or promo graphic like "Hi! Can you let me know who the illustrator is?" with a heavy undertone of "DID YOU USE THE PLAGIARISM MACHINE FOR THIS"

You could put an autoreply on your email that answers FAQs. lol

Recently had to do this, and it was not fun.

(Especially in certain cases where the fact is, with heavy heart, that if they go "Oh yeah! We totes used the plagiarism machine for this!" then I have to literally withdraw my work from a project because I do not want to be knowingly associated with that shit. I just do not.)

I hate that now when I see art on my timeline from someone I don't know my first instinct is to question it.

I moderate a group of children's book illustrators with ~200k members and I find it so stressful trying to weed out the generative garbage. I hate accusing or banning an innocent person by mistake, but I also feel very protective of our real artists and don't want to give the bad actors an inch.

I don't even know half the time if I'm sending out the MJ or whatever images or not - I try not to RT them, but I don't know all of the time! and it's like...ugh I don't need this much stress over if I can promote someone I like or not.
