i really don't like Go but i had to get good with it for professional and then Fedi reasons so i swear i'm not Go-bashing for no reason there is a third option: Rust is much more mature than Swift on the server and the two languages constantly borrow stuff from each other anyway…

…so Swift pros will find a lot of it very familiar. and tooling is also pretty good. downside is that memory management is more complex than Go or Swift. you can ref-count everything and end up with near-Swift style, but it's not as common. takes a few weeks to get used to.

I feel like rust and swift are too similar to pick rust over swift (which I’m already very good at) If I were to make a language change I’d want it to be very different from swift. But, you’re making me think I should just stick with swift 😉
