I've seen valid concerns from familiar faces in the TTRPG map spaces there. Nothing but deflection and avoidance from Patreon, who refuses to stand for creatives If you pledge Patronage to creatives, especially Pay-Per-Creation folks PLEASE be patient as they pivot and figure out how to adapt.
Did I read correctly that creators can disable iOS transactions, and that if they (enough of them?) do so, the app will be removed from their App Store? That seems like a win-win. 😏

Before this all went down, it never even crossed my mind that Patreon had an app. The execs are tanking the service to preserve said app is SO stupid. Unfortunately, it's also not surprising coming from Patreon's higher-ups.
Wow. I have been supporting a couple of writers through the Patreon website for many YEARS. If I'm reading this correctly...Patreon is ending being able to pay in the website because of Apple app store demands? I won't be doing that. At all.
