Thinking abt one of my world building projects today and pondering the merits of adding tonal magic to the setting as something the country is well known for. They have a bladesong royal guard so there's already a heavy emphasis on music and dancing there

But one of the things I'm pondering is the Nyx and whether or not their motes of power are so powerful because they resonate through space (void) even where no sound should be allowed to exist? Maybe the quickest way to defeat a Nyx is a silence spell. Hmmmm.
