There are plenty of people who believe climate change is real and also believe that there's nothing that can be done to ameliorate its effects. It's challenging.

Yes there’s consistently a challenge in explaining the need for mitigation (reducing emissions) as well as adaptation (reducing exposure and vulnerability to the consequences of climate change). And they happen on different time scales, and we need both!

A challenge I have found in abolitionist organizing is to show fellow organizers how we've chipped away at the deathmaking institutions. It's not sexy but those cracks are in fact real and must be made larger. A small thread can unravel a large tapestry. Working on a project focused on this now.
