We share a commitment to retaining women in the academy. I try to remember that women can participate in the creation of bad climates too, and all departmental members (men, women, non-binary, gender queer, etc.) share a responsibility for creating an inclusive and functional department.

Some big research out in Science Advances: want to understand retention of women in the academy, then you have to read www.science.org/doi/full/10.... The tl;dr: retaining women is about keeping a good workplace climate, not work-life balance.
