I find it strange that the Fintstones live on as vitamins consumed by kids who have likely never experienced any Flintstones media and long after any of the Flintstones’ general cultural salience has faded.

This is one of those things each generation experiences. Decades into their adulthood they'll be shocked to randomly find out the etymology of Flintstones. (at least it's not racist)

It was enough of a cultural import growing up in the 90s. It would take a special kid to sit through an episode now

The Flintstones is still all over the streaming channels though. If the kid is allowed to channel surf they’re going to come across it. I was helping looking after a nephew during covid and he worked his way through the entire original series

And isn’t it so surprising, that no car maker has yet proposed a vehicle of Flinstone’s design , to tackle vehicle climate emissions ??? Big hole in the floor for the feet to paddle us up the autobahns !! And also wipe out the obesity crisis at the same time !! What’s not to like ??

In my youth, Flintstone kids were 10 million strong and growing. That number has to have peaked since then but if even ten percent remained loyal and passed it on that's a pretty good sized crew I think.

I mean... There's still interesting Flintstone media being made semi recently. This comic panel is from a short series in 2016. They're worth reading too.

I asked my son recently if he knew about the Flintstones, and he said his mom had showed it to him and he thought it was stupid.

But their parents who buy the vitamins know who the Flintstones are.

I don't think the Flintstones are culturally irrelevant. I mean, how does a cyber truck get out of a mud puddle if not by the power of unclad human feet?
