I grew up next door to a Luthern church and they have put up gay and trans "everyone is welcome signs" and I am actually and genuinely moved

When i looked at the polling which was from iirc 2022 to 2018 and didn’t break down Protestantism beyond white Protestant they were i think the only group that was trending downward on this and trans rights/acceptance/individual issues and were around ~30% So thats awesome they did that

I’m actually a bit skeeved out by this because there’s a *huge* contingent of churches following a “welcoming but not affirming” strategy where they hide their queerphobia until you’re hooked.
