Good thread. I agree we are on the cusp of real change. Let’s hope. And work for it. But I have one objection. @dandadad.bsky.social says Biden’s approval declined b/c voters couldn’t see Joe Biden as a change agent. No, it was the media that did it. And they’ll do it w/ Harris in the long run.1/2

Biden was swept into office enthusiastically. But within a year his approval sank. Yes media coverage of Afghanistan hurt him. But what did him in was “old” and “fuck Joe Biden” and “puppet of Kamala” in swing states. That stuff was driven by relentless rightwing media attacks.
