We in America have less freedom than people in authoritarian countries, because our lives are at the mercy of a capricious economy. The only freedoms given by our totalitarian government (It can only be called such) is the freedom to follow whatever the economy decides for us.

While people bicker about whether or not China is actually communist. Nobody disputes that china's leaders (Who claim to be members of a communist party that intends to implement communism) seem to be doing a much better job of cultivating common good than the self proclaimed capitalists in the west
