Microsoft released a new one-time purchase version of Office with most of the features from the subscription version, I am sure you all will be devastated that it doesn't include the Copilot AI integration (I feel like this is a selling point to most people who would buy a one-time purchase...)
If you're not a fan of the $69.99 annual fee for Microsoft 365, you can get a lifetime license for Microsoft's suite of apps for $149.99.
You can't activate the code if you ever had a previous office subscription, though Well technically, you can, but it requires you to reactivate your old subscription to install software from the new keys anyway. Got burned by that.
At this point I pay for the subscription for the OneDrive storage space. 5TB of space nearly pays for the full annual fee. Especially if I can get a discount through Costco or another retailer.
gosh i'm tempted to get this even though I've basically removed office from my list of needs ....
Oh no. How will I cope without it.
Oh cool! I bought a previous one-time purchase version (2021, I think?). And no Copilot you say? Might be time for an upgrade...
Good to know about this, I am about to see if I can get it soon. I am just so tired of subscription models for programs and AI being attached when it is not necessary.
If I was still in high school, this would've been great
No sub, no copilot what is the catch?
