If 100% utilization of a server CPU is called outage (due to system unresponsiveness), what do we call it when a team and its members are at 100% utilization?

Out of the Crisis (1982): "Inspection does not improve the quality, nor guarantee quality. Inspection is too late. The quality, good or bad, is already in the product." Most of the software engineering 2024: We definitely can, with pull requests!

Latest translation for learn go with tests: Persian! Still a work in progress, but very cool to see github.com/quii/learn-g...go-yaad-begir.gitbook.io/go-ba-test/quii.gitbook.io/learn-go-wit...#golang#tdd

PSA: Anyone discussing TDD saying the line "it doesn't matter order the tests are written, so long as they are written" Should not be viewed as an authority on the subject.

Has there ever been anything more damaging to trunk based development than the trunk based development website? The comments here are 99% trash www.reddit.com/r/Experience...

I've lost count of how many times I've seen engineers build a complicated, woolly house of cards for "shared components", "component libraries", etc., all in the name of a standard look and feel, DRY, and it is almost always a total shit-show

Picture of a tweet saying: the funniest microservice i ever had the pleasure to work with was the NavBarService in a suite of 3-5 web apps

you had to make a separate http call to get the contents on the nav bar. when it was down or timed out, you lost the ability to click "Home"
