While this behavior could be appreciated when migrating augments from one Weapon Series to another all at once, what it means for the Introduction Period is that people may have to redo their existing augments on the current Weapon Series; or wait with EX Augments until a new one arrives.
Our observation of the new Augment Transfer System suggests that transferring EX Augments to a weapon that doesn't have EX Augments yet may count as a regular transfer and as such take an additional pass. Furthermore, it may replace all existing augments on the weapon so augments have to be redone.

On January 25th, 2023, Sega updated the distribution of gathering items in the Aelio Region, grouping them closer together. None of the usual map creators, such as Roboarks, Doritis, or @kosnag.bsky.social, seemed to have noticed. The ARKS Intelligence Bureau releases a temporary Photon Quartz Map.
