me, with a blanket stuffed in my mouth, not daring to wake T in case he'd make a sound, too terrified of whoever was out there in the dark to even touch the curtain. it would probably have been too dark to see anything. and i was scared shitless of what i might see out there if the moon was up.

eventually the person out there walked away and after a long time of quiet i fell asleep.
