Medical Doctors are probably more susceptible to bigotry and this kind of entrenched psuedoscience because their position in society tells them that they're much smarter and wiser than other people, preventing them from hearing or considering critique. Or they're fucking assholes.

They also think that being genius in 1 area (medicine) means they’re genius in ALL areas. See Ben Carson for example. Brilliant surgeon, was world renowned in the medical community, & he legit thought that meant he had the genius & know-how to run Dept of Housing & Urban Development.
