Remember all the sci-fi shows Fox killed *all by themselves?* Space: Above and Beyond, Strange Luck, Sliders (they tried to beat that one to death with their bare hands), Harsh Realm, M.A.N.T.I.S., The Visitor ...
Almost Human....
It’s not a lie that certain producers and execs had vendettas against some of the cast of “Sliders” who pushed back against the asinine directions.
oh don't get me started on Space! why can't Torgo's Executive Powder be real? it's got a million and one uses!
In fairness to Fox, they were also the only network that was willing to *air* those shows to begin with. CBS/ABC/NBC were hyperfixated on medical/legal dramas and sitcoms about twentysomethings and their found families until "LOST" convinced them to branch out with a thousand copycats.
Sliders was straight up the whipping boy for Fox. I feel so bad for the cast and staff because it was done dirty
I realize everyone's cooled on it because, y'know, Whedon, but it honestly felt like someone at Fox had a *personal* vendetta against Firefly.
Remember when every parallel dimension somehow had something to do with a popular film released around the same time and you knew you KNEW it was pressure from the executives? Fucking dumbass Jurassic Park world ...
I hated how they left Space: Above and Beyond dangling off a huge cliff.
I am STILL PISSED about Space: Above and Beyond.
Fringe was the exception that proved the rule
