The sad thing about Pence isnāt that his political career ended with a humiliating whimper. He deserves that. Itās that it ended that way because he did one thing that met the absolute minimum standards of decency and integrity. www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...
The former vice presidentās campaign never gained traction as he confronted a GOP that has moved beyond the Reagan-era conservatism he embodied.
I lived in Indiana when Mike Pence was governor, and his mistake was, despite having huge critiques of Trump, forgetting them to be VP He absolutely could have maintained a strong reputation in conservative Indiana, but gave up minimum standards of decency to become VP in the first place
Pence could have been a hero. Gone down in history, but he choose a cowardly path!
Plenty more like this & willing to prop mediocrity like this up in IN. š And it is concerning what he & Karen Pence will push on Hoosiers in the name of churchgoing/Focus on the Family/"morality"/evangelicalism in step with likes of newly speakered Mike Johnson.
A more pathetic, cowardly person would be hard to find. He is such a sniveling weasel.
Which was...to follow the law instead of breaking it. Oh, he also decided *not to shoot up* the breakfast place he visited last week. So, two things.
I guess. Maybe. Thereās no way to run the counterfactual, but I think if he hadnāt done that one thing, then his career probably wouldāve ended with him being guilty of a felony.
Once again we can congratulate Pence on doing the right thing, once all other options were exhausted.
And, after doing the minimally decent thing on 1/6, Pence has spent every moment since distancing himself from that moral act in a futile attempt to regain any semblance of power and influence. It's pathetic.
Another mediocre white man living an unexamined life.
He fit right in with the Pro-death GOP long before he got to Washington. Hope among hope that we never hear from him again.
