Last week a fairly well-known actor endorsed Trump. His lefty fans, friends, and former colleagues responded with disappointment. Last month, a Trump-voting Republican factory manager said his Haitian workers are good people. His fellow Republicans responded by threatening to kill him.
The parties seem to have nothing in common at all
Yet it's the lefties who are the ones constantly accused of cancel culture.
The local Democrats in my mostly-red exurban town have some charming signs with a donkey hugging an elephant and a list of universal values, and every time I see it I think about how the Right says we are literally possessed by demons.
At this point, anyone pretending that the party of milquetoast centrism is comparable to the party of Actual Literal Nazism needs their brain swapped out.
Expressing disappointment is the same as attacking diversity of opinion, whereas threatening to kill someone is the diverse opinion that is being attacked.
Gutsy folks. They said they don’t regret it.
Who was the actor? I don’t remember.
An attempt was made on felon Trump's life. Biden and Harris personally called to offer their concern. Paul Pelosi was brutally attacked. Trump, and many other MAGA Republicans made crude jokes and never once condemned the attacker. #NotTheSame
“Both sides are the same” blares the NYT. “Why this is bad for Harris” - see page 2.
