Good article. One question. "[Trump] a man who incited violent insurrection to overturn the democratic order. Britain is not going down that road". Are you sure?

An important and thught through reflection on Tory drift into the danger zone and on the basic requirements of a functioning democracy. Bravo Rafael, well put.

A thoughtful, and compelling article. Raises the question in my mind of what, exactly, is the intent of such legislation being brought forward by a governing party struggling to shift polling and/or public opinion in their favour?
