We're looping back to 1939 again. The NYT is unfixable over any longer stretch of time, though we're probably reaching an apex in horrible (but, yes it can get worse).

It's kind of gobsmacking how the NYT 'house style' hasn't really changed much in 85 years. Still sucking up to thugs and autocrats.
