The press expects Trump to suck massively at the job, so his unfitness gets a pass. As if "suck massively at the job" isn't disqualifying w/o mental decline.

It’s even more remarkable that the so-called liberal media has harmed Democratic candidates more than it has reported on the actual bad qualities of Republican candidates (all of whom have been Trump over the past 3 cycles).

This is my most generous view of this media blind spot- the press feels like they covered his personal failings significantly in 2016 and then he won anyway. Therefore, “everyone” already knows he sucks shit and it didn’t matter that one time so it de facto CANT be news ever again.

I think part of the press's reasoning ("reasoning") is that Trump was an angry old asshole before and he's an angry old asshole now. Who cares that his brain's rotting, that's not important!

To say nothing of all the crimes and treason! One could write a whole book on all the things that ought to disqualify him!
