I messaged one about a kitten I wanted to adopt and they sent me a list of questions which I didn't really mind answering. 2 days later I asked if they got my message and they told me they are sorting through applications but want the kitten to go to a home that already has a cat

The biggest org here, the RSPCA, has nothing in my area and their website is terrible in ways I can't even get in to right now.
