This is my day 1 lesson for my non-majors class when I’m teaching. I’ll totally use spam detection as an example next time I’m teaching it!! Thanks!!
No shit. It's how copy editors work. Simple stuff (commas, etc.) just "look wrong" in the middle of the page. You don't even really read it. Fact errors... feel wrong. (If you've watched serverance... I understood what they meant about "scary" numbers)
