Yes! We always take the tour if they offer one no matter what the museum is. The History of Science museum in Oxford has some great ones, too.

Ours told us the story of the time the museum lent a collection to one of the colleges at Oxford and when they got it back a hundred years later, it had three times the items in it because everyone kept chucking their "this is too neat to throw out" objects into it

if you're ever in leiden, definitely check out the boerhaave. among many other things they have some original leiden jars every time I'm in leiden I make a little pilgrimage and go see the jars rijksmuseumboerhaave.nl
