How long does the water take to cool down enough so it can be used for another cooling cycle? Slowly increasing the water temperature of a natural reservoir (and habitat) is not a great idea. What are the chances that the water is getting contaminated while being used for cooling?
Maybe they can divert some water from the floods caused by climate change, which they're aggravating with their humongous data centres.
