Wish—Middle-of-the-Road. It’s fine for what it is, a kind of amalgam/homage of all the Disney movies up to this point to celebrate all their classic films over the decades. There’s just nothing new or inspired in either the story or the musical numbers #moviereview#disney#disneyplus#disneymovie
Hot Potato: The Story of the Wiggles—Is not cold spaghetti. My oldest grew up on The Wiggles and we even took him and his baby brother to a concert. Anthony was on fire. Really fun documentary, although I wish Sam had more time and they’d better explained his exit. #thewiggles#hotpotato#amazon
Dune Part 2—Does. If you liked/loved/disliked/hated Part 1 you won’t be surprised. Once again, no one sweats. On a desert planet. Ever. I was also bothered by how often the actors didn’t have their water-saving hoods up. ON A DESERT PLANET. #dune#dunepart2#duneparttwo#moviereview#whattowatch
The Artful Dodger—Fantastic. Adheres to the spirit of Dickens’ characters while providing a “what if” scenario for both Jack Dawkins – aka the Artful Dodger – and his mentor/abuser Fagin. The plotting is very clever, the casting is perfection, and I’m hoping for a season 2. #artfuldodger#dickens
Halo Season 2 (first three episodes)—Meh. Not awful, but it feels like a rehash of the first season with a focus on the dumb. The “intrigue” is forced, and most of the characters have devolved into annoying. If you didn’t like it before, definitely pass for now. #halo#paramount#haloseason2
