IIRC, our planner was provided by the venue, so doing a bad job would have been something that might produce bad reviews for the venue itself. On the other hand, a significant portion of her job was just giving us lists of vendors who the venue was willing to work with.

turns out even giving lists of vendors was hard for my planner bc again she hadn’t actually ever done anything in the area. she gave all overpriced vendors from another much more expensive city that would also have tacked on insane travel fees
