Sorry, ran out of space. Here’s the link to Stephennie Mulder’s book. edinburghuniversitypress.com/book-the-shrines-of-the-alids-in-medieval-syria.html.
The Shrines of the 'Alids in Medieval Syria
I once read an older edition of an Edith Wharton work (the title escapes me) that used employée.
Didn't know Dr. Young wrote ghost stories. Just ordered.
I generally like Greenaway's films (have a particular fondness for The Pillow Book) but I fall asleep every time I watch The Draughsman's Contract. Sounds like it's time to try again.
Thank you!!
As a child I collected autographs. My first one was that of an actor playing Pink Panther in some sort of children’s show in Lexington, Kentucky in the very early 70s.
I dont have the book handy but this reminds me of the future Alison Waley speaking to Arthur. Ar: “What kind of poetry do you like?” Al: I’m reading Poems from the Chinese and all else has been ruined.” Ar: “Who’s the translator?” Al: “Waley, do you know him?” Ar: “Yes..but not very well.”
For similar reasons I dislike music in bookstores.
