It's first worth pointing out a car-only transport system is perhaps the most ableist of all. A third of the population does not have the physical or financial means to drive: like children, the elderly, caregivers, people with lower incomes, and those with physical disabilities.
It was still short-finger gloves weather at 0700 hrs this morning. Arm warmers, knee warmers, light cap under my helmet - but short-finger gloves, no gilet, no toe warmers. All good. And the socks? Summer weight. Can't break out the real cold weather stuff until it's legitimately cold. 😉
If you didn’t need ANC my first rec would’ve been some Shokz bone conducting units. They tend to be fairly comfy. Over-the-ear cans are less comfy for me and (luckily) I do well with earbuds - especially the Beats Studio Buds, which are my go-to for travel. 🤷♂️
I’ve found that Voile straps pass the test and are a LOT more sturdy than an elastic bungee. They’ve worked on a lot of trains both here and in Europe.
