The numbers are so completely meaningless. Sometimes I'll read reviews that make a piece of media seem genuinely unpleasant and then it's rated a 7 or 8 and you're just sitting here like ???? SO TWO POINTS BELOW PERFECT BUT YOU HAD ONE NICE THING TO SAY?

I remember people getting mad at Jeff Gerstmann’s review of Twilight Princess being like “Why did you say so many nice things about this game and only give it an 8.9?!”
