Alright I'd say that this is good enough. I'd go for higher resolution and a less noisy render but this took 9 hours and I think part of that is the limited capability of the houdini apprentice license.
this was mid render, sorry its so sandy lol
Update on the Environment! Houdini lighting is a big ass mystery to me but I'm slowly getting some results out of it. Once I can get lighting and a fog volume figured out, I think all it will need is a quick and dirty material slapped on to give the impression of more detail and it'll be good enough
Learning Houdini at the moment and I'm taking this as an opportunity to attempt an environment from BLAME! I'll try to remember to update this as progress is made but I might forget or end up to busy to continue it lol
sitting here thinking about it at work. weird cuz normally i dont really like story/conversation heavy turn based games but im totally addicted here.
You're doing awesome! Trust others when they tell you you're great.
Foundation's VFX are super fuckin cool and neat and I'm heavily considering an attempt at recreating some in Unreal...
At the suggestion of the new Noodle video I played Peglin and it is super great! Peggle Rogue-like is the crossover I didn't know I needed, super excited to see how it evolves.
