i accidentally went out all day without my phone and it was the best day i’ve had in weeks. looking forward to learning nothing whatsoever from this experience

I did this over the holidays and I have been careful not to do it since.

I mean you could just learn to control your usage of it and just use it for calls and important texts. Just a thought. 💭

Every year I go backpacking for a week in the mountains, and experience joy, immediacy, wisdom, and peace. Then I go back to the world and I get to check my fucking emails

My family thinks I'm nuts for walking the dogs without my phone. Internally I'm like, "It's 30 minutes at a time where I don't have to put up your inane random BS..."

Don’t know if I could handle a 2002 day

Right! That happened to me not long ago and it was a liberating feeling. No electronic leash! Ahhhh! The good ole’ days!

Sometimes I forget my phone at work for the night. I survived. I never take it when I walk my dog. I feel sad when I see people pushing strollers staring at their phones. Poor kids, already being ignored.

i've lived in my neighborhood for about 7 y, long enough to learn the place, but also recent enough that i was always using gps for traffic, so i never learned if i didn't have my phone, i'd get maybe 2 blocks away before being entirely unsure if i'm going the right way i want to 'in my day' myself

like there’s just something about not even having the option to turn my attention to the misery device…again though i’ve learned and will continue to learn nothing so too bad all this is moot 😕
