I haven't trapped for over 3 weeks, most of which I've been away. My first Feathered Thorn of the year was the best of a poor catch at home in St Helens, Merseyside. #mothsmatter#sthelensbirding

A good morning at Moss Lane in St Helens, Merseyside, with two Wheatear being seen, only the second ones I've seen in autumn here, and best of all a Spotted Flycatcher, first I've seen in St Helens for 18 years. We also had 3 Brown Hare and a Fox. #ukbirding#StHelensBirding

Just a few of 250+ feral Barnacles at Moss Lane, St Helens this morning 24/9/24 with just as many Canadas with them, it made for an impressive sight when they all got spooked by a helicopter. #UKBirding#StHelensBirding

A new harvestman for me at home in St Helens, Merseyside, a Dicranopalpus ramosus, a feature of this species is that it's pedipalps appear to be forked, apparently this species has recently been been split from caudatus so who knows? #ukwildlife#StHelensBirding
