Honestly I had been partial to fantasy medival as a setting but I'm getting burned out on it for a variety of reasons. I'm leaving mkre to fantastical modern day now purely for the change of pace. Pokemon tabletop united has been my new go to for it

That’s totally fair. I love fantasy modern as a concept but for me it has to be done really well because my general *preference* is more fantasy medieval (though maybe with a twist). My favorite modern game was a game of Mutants & Masterminds that my DM ran a few years ago. It was so cool.
