Percy Jackson? There are 4 different series so loads of books. The stories are really good, and very inclusive. There is also a Disney After Dark series that my kid ate up.

and forgot to mention that in addition to the 4 Percy Jackson Series there is also a series of wonderful books under Rick Riordan presents. Clever, funny, interesting. highly recommend the lot
