Do you know how much CEO pay has skyrocketed since 1978? 100%? 500%? Try 1,085% Meanwhile, the $7.25/hr fed. minimum wage hasn't budged in 15 years and the tipped min. wage has been $2.13/hr since 1991. This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.
Especially egregious in for profit energy / utility sector.
Biden has gone against neoclassical economics and created a bunch of dollars to pay for public purpose. Reducing poverty & household debt. Versus neoclassical orthodoxy of shoveling our national currency to the top of the economy Relying on bank loans to fuel household consumption.
Since corporations want to replace everything with AI, how about corporations save hundreds of billions of dollars by replacing their executives with AI instead of their workers?
I remember working as a server in 2005 at $2.15 plus tips which barely had me surviving. I moved to managerial and left because $35k wasn’t worth the hassle. It’s a shit industry. I can’t believe that after all these years the only thing that went up was food costs because of price gouging.
