I will if you will…I have been fighting myself on this forever!
After 200 posts, I’ve decided to get serious! I’ve added a couple of subscription options and a contact widget. There’s a comment field on every post, but if people have suggestions or ideas, this will be a good way to get ‘em to me! So Yay! myreactionshotreviews.blogspot.com/2024/10/noti...
After almost 200 posts, I've finally decided that it's time to expand Reaction Shots' reach. We're on BlueSky (@reactionshots.bsky.social), ...
As you point out elsewhere, WaPo did marginally better, but the media- at least, the stalwarts like the Old Gray Lady - can’t bring themselves to using the words “fascist”, “liar”, or I dunno, “traitor”. The sane-itizing of Trump baffles me. The polls baffle me.
Lovecraft runs deep in so much. All of those are worthy of a whole series on his influence in cinema. You’ve got me thinking about revisiting at least half a dozen flicks right there!
Great call! I remember reading about it in development and still haven’t seen it. Thanks for this!
Absolutely! There have been a couple of other adaptations and I’ll be starting off with “Die, Monster, Die”, which I don’t think I’ve seen since I was in the single digits. Time flies with the Old Gods
Thanks for this! I need to catch this sooner than later, I think.

It’s not subtle, but Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance is blunt confrontation with the pressures put on women to remain youthful, vibrant, and...
After mulling it over, gonna do a series on Lovecraft adaptations. I have some of the usual suspects in mind and a couple of oddballs. Gordon’s Re-animators but also his Dagon; Die, Monster, Die but also, the HP Lovecraft Society’s production of The Call of Cthulhu… Any other titles or ideas?
Ooooh, good one! Way overdue for rewatch but coming to a rep theater nearby, so I might just wait. Perhaps “Ringu”/“The Ring” fall into this as well (one of the few instances where I prefer the remake to the original- it got under my skin in a way the Japanese original didn’t)
