I think there could be speed limits (20 mph?) in bike lanes/on bike paths. Also if it’s going over 28 mph it’s not an ebike by the standard classifications.

Ooh interesting. I wonder if this was some souped up unusual version. Also, supposed it’s possible he was going 28mph and our scooter’s speedometer is off and I was doing more like 24 or something 🤷

The 3 class system is a standard for convenience while applying user rules in private and public spaces. There are “out of class” bikes that are legal in specific situations
