There's so many people who won't use the word, don't even really know what it really means, but their beliefs and works and the reasons they give for their disaffection with the government and what they say its duties ought be, still describe the regional socialist politics of early Oklahoma.

Yeah, that’s not surprising. It mirrors the reality in many other states. Leftists need to be talking to these folks, because otherwise only the right talks to them and we know where that leads

It helps matters that the three major southern plains tribes, some of Five Nations, all practiced communal resource management and subtle ecological engineering on this land. A commons once stood here. The last enclosure did not come to this corner of Oklahoma until 1906.
