It is...though the underlying themes of unwanted pregnancy make it more horrific...as is the case with much of the best horror .

There is no shame in only knowing David Bowie from one of the best children's movies of the 1980s. He was FANTASTIC in it and I'm generally an 80s Bowie skeptic. (And now that you mentioned it I do get Jareth vibes from Cass.)
