Having those medical resources available at home would be wildly expensive, and it would be practically impossible to have the social interactions other than immediate family. Different patients require different stimuli and settings. What’s BEST is dictated by that
“Aging-in-place, at home, is the BEST way to care for a senior with dementia.” Not necessarily. A skilled nursing center is quite possibly the BEST way to care for a senior with dementia given the medical and social resources available.
