Yeah, it started with Adderall, and when people couldn't get the generics of that, they started swapping to Vyvanse (which I think JUST got a generic during the Adderall shortage), and it ended up causing a shortage there too.

Pretty much, yeah. The US also doesn’t allow those meds to be imported, so our only supply HAS to be made here. The DEA has quotas on active ingredients… and several years running drug makers have only used 2/3 of what they were allotted, with no explanation why.
