I’m friends with a number of immigrants, and my partner’s parents are immigrants as well. Their presence in my life and in this country is a gift! Immigration is good and I’m honestly disgusted and exhausted by people saying otherwise.

My mom was born in France to US citizens, who could just travel back and forth because white people were allowed to. (I don't know if Grandpa got sent there for WWI or went after.) Most of my ancestors got kicked out of Europe and told to go across an ocean (or the Irish Sea) to bother other people.
